Is the plastic liquid container toxic free?
Yes, the NeverReach container is BPA (bisphenol-A) free.
Usng NeverReach also eliminates the need to use water bottles, if desired. Every year 50 billion plastic water bottles are disposed of and only a small amount gets recycled.
Where do I put my C02 cartridges, tubes, etc.?
Please see options under 'Maintenance Tips'| Carrying C02 Cartridges and accessories'.
How can I determine how much liquid is left in the container?
This is a must for all NeverReach customers!
Nobody wants to ride around with 2 litres of unnecessary liquid or run out of liquid. Here is a solution that only requires a quick look down at your tube just below your handelbars that will reveal the static water level.
Add only the amount of liquid to the container where you would want to be able to read the fluid level for refill purposes (I usually use 1 water bottle).
Bite down on the mouthpiece without receiving liquid to allow air into the tube. Using a pen, mark the tube where the liquid stops. This now becomes your refill level line. All you have to do is look at the line on the tube to see how much liquid you have left! Test the refill level line on your next training ride so that you are prepared for your next race!
Will NeverReach fit my seat and/or handlebars?
NeverReach is compatible with the most road bicycle seats. The bracket's plate which is installed behind the seat rails is 3" long, and is not compatible with wider bicycle seats where the seat rails cannot accommodate a 3" bracket plate.
If you have alot of carbon on your bicycle seat rails, please email us for an optional method for the bracket installation.
NeverReach is compatible with all handlebars and aerobars. If the tube holder's securing strap is too short, you may replace this strap with the extra long securing strap that is included.
NRZ, Inc. will provide a 100% refund on any systems which are incompatible.
How much does it cost?
NeverReach retails for $89.00 (code 1010), plus shipping and handling.
The triathlete model which includes a refill cap for easy fills at triathlon water stations retails for $99.00 (code 1020). The refill cap will fit any water/energy bottle upside down.
Please read 'How to refill container' under 'Maintenance Tips' for instructions on how to refill your NeverReach.
How do I clean it?
Using water: The container and tube should be cleaned after each use. The tube should remain detached when not in use and all water blown out of tube.
Using energy drink: The container and tube should be cleaned after each use. The pad printed container is dishwasher safe, or you can use a 5-minute denture cleaner tablet with both the tube and container in the sink.
Note: We recommend replacing the tube and mouthpiece every 6 months or so and can be purchased separately.
How much will it hold?
NeverReach will hold up to 64 ounces of liquid, or 2 litres.
How much does it weigh?
The bracket and container together weigh less than 11 ounces (without the liquid of course).
Will I be able to buy one at a nearby retail store?
You may either order online, through an online retailer, or ask your local bicycle store to order NeverReach.
How is it installed?
The bracket is attached to the bicycle's seat rail. The container then attaches to the bracket. A tube positioner is mounted onto the handlebars and straps are used to secure the tube to the horizontal bar. The system will come mostly preassembled along with detailed instructions.
How difficult is it to get water from the mouthpiece?
Since the water is delivered through the tube by gravity, it requires very little suction from the mouthpiece. The tube positioner which covers the tube attached to the handlebars allows you to position the mouthpiece to the perfect location; a 100% hands-free hydration system.
Will a tool bag still fit under my seat?
A small or medium size wedge pack normally fits, but only if the seat is not in the upmost forward position.
Is NeverReach dishwasher safe?
Yes, the new pad printed containers are dishwasher safe, but ot the tube. The tube can be cleaned by blowing water with a dab of sap thru.
Is NeverReach approved for Ironman/triathlons?
Yes. NeverReach has received approval from the USAT.
How much distance do I need for the liquid container?
In order to have enough clearance for the liquid container, you need at least 7" inches between the bottom of the seat where you sit and the top of the bicycle's tire.
How do I refill the container during triathlons?
An optional refill cap (Product Code 2010) can be purchased which will hold a standard water or gatorade bottle upside down for refillment during cycling. Please note that this cap comes standard in available retail stores.
There are a couple of alternatives for your NeverReach system.
1. If you prefer to use your own energy drink you may want to carry the weight upfront (about 4 bottles) and then have another 2 litres waiting in your special needs bag.
2. To drink what is available during the race we recommend grabbing the 1st water/energry drink in the aid station. Squeeze the bottle a couple of times and then toss before leaving the aid station.
