NeverReach customer stories>
Ironman Kona 2008 by Paul Fritzsche

I had an good day here at the Ironman Hawaii World Championships yestereday, placing 38th out of 93 of the world's best pro triathletes.  The NeverReach system worked great and proved itself very valuable in two ways yesterday.  First, as we rode over some big bumps in the roads here in town (where they are in the middle of a big repaving project), I saw a lot of my competitors' waterbottles getting launched out of their seat-mounted cages.  While they had nothing to drink for the next 10 miles, I had plenty.  Halfway through the bike ride, after the turn around in Hawi, the winds were strong, gusty, and unpredicatble.  It was hard enough to control my bike even with both hands on the handlebars, and reaching for a waterbottle would have been risky.  With the NeverReach, I was able to keep drinking and safely guide my bike through the winds.  The new refill cap works great too, by the way.  I didn't notice any splashing at all, and I was able to easily refill it with the gatorade bottles from the aid stations and the bike bottle I had prepared in my special needs bag.  Thanks so much for your support!
